This was drawn for a fundraising show in April 2016 at the Museum of NE Art in Kearney, NE. Nebraska sits on the largest underground ocean on earth, the Ogallala Aquifer. Scientists say that if we stopped pumping out of it now, it would take a thousand years for it to reach its original level. The windmill in the drawing is about to go dry.
